Black and White Dress, Paris, France

Alison Lake is an American fine art photographer living on the California coast. She has had a lifelong involvement in the Arts and received a BA in art history from the University of California at Santa Barbara. After
studying photography extensively, and then working in commercial studios, she continued with her own creative projects.

During travels to many countries, she has been able to combine her love of photography and of learning about the world. The collected images represent a spectrum of subjects from the built and natural environments and the spaces where they coexist. Still life arrangements with an interplay of objects and light are another area of interest.

Her images have been exhibited throughout the USA and in Europe, including at the Los Angeles Center of Photography in California, the Arlington Museum of Art in Texas, the Soho Photo Gallery in New York, and the PH21 Gallery in Budapest, Hungary. They have appeared in numerous publications, including The Photo Review, Shadow & Light, and ArtAscent magazines, and can be found in the permanent collection of the Monterey Museum of Art.
