Alison Lake is an American fine art photographer with a lifelong involvement in the Arts. She received a BA in art history from the University of California at Santa Barbara, studied photography extensively, assisted in commercial studios, and then continued with her own creative projects.
During travels to many countries, she has been able to combine her love of photography and of learning about the world. The collected images represent a spectrum of subjects from the built and natural environments and where these coexist. Still life arrangements, with an interplay of objects and light, are another area of interest.
Her images have been exhibited throughout the USA and in Europe including the Los Angeles Center of Photography in California, the Arlington Museum of Art in Texas, the Soho Photo Gallery in New York, and the PH21 Gallery in Budapest, Hungary. They have appeared in numerous publications (including The Photo Review, Shadow & Light, and ArtAscent magazines) and can be found in the permanent collection of the Monterey Museum of Art.
